A New Sewing Space
Hey there! Did you catch the previous blog where I mentioned that we moved??? That means I have a NEW SEWING SPACE!!! Whoohoo!! But let me warn you - I'm still unpacking...
It's Day Two of the December Blog Challenge hosted by Muppin.com Check out the link for more info.
Day Two: My Sewing Space
Okay... I'm super excited about the space. It's really big! There's great window light, a huge closet, and an entire wall that I can dedicate a real design space towards. It still needs to be painted, and unpacked... but here's a few pics.
This will be good motivation for me to the NEW Quilt Lab up and running. I'm still getting acquainted with the space, so layout may change too. Right now I have the cutting table positioned near two of the big corner windows. I thought all that natural light would be great for table view tutorial videos. Can we just talk about that closet system for a moment?! I mean ... wow... This room was originally a toddler's room. Even the master bedroom doesn't have a closet system like this. (Don't tell my husband!) And it is gloriously holding (most of) my quilty stuff!
I have a very light gray paint picked out for three walls and a fun, bright blue paint as an accent. But stay tuned, because it could all change! I'll post more as I get time to decorate. But I have a Block-of-the-Month program starting soon, so I need to finish that quilt top first!
Stay tuned for more Quilt Lab fun! Gotta get back to it!
